Birds:
Home to over a thousand bird species, the Amazon Rainforest is a dream came true for bird watchers. The huge Jabiru, that can measure up to 150 centimeters, the colorful blue and yellow Macaw, the prehistoric looking Hoatzin and the locally known “Tuki Tuki” are some of the incredible species that can be found all around the rainforest.
The Pacaya Samiria Natural Reserve remains as one of the few natural habitats where unimaginable birds fly unbothered by human intervention. Their loud and exotic cries can be heard in every corner of the rainforest, their echoes bouncing off the thick vegetation.
